After receiving your order, I will create a custom listing for you through my Etsy shop. You will receive a digital proof of your card within 2 business days of receiving your payment. Once your proof has been finalized, your design will be sent for professional printing. Orders are received from the printer within 5 business days and will then be ready for shipping or pick-up at that time.

Blake and LeeAnn

We recently had the joy of celebrating the wedding of our dear friends, Blake and LeeAnn Holaday. I have known LeeAnn for nearly 10 years after meeting her in the dorm at the University of Arkansas. We were across-the-hall neighbors and I like to take a small amount of credit for ways that her life has been "ruined" ever since! I encouraged her to apply to be on summer staff at SOS and watched her be faithful to whatever God called her to after that (Memphis, East Asia, and now Purdue University). Blake and LeeAnn are currently finishing their support raising efforts so that they can help start up a Bridges International ministry at Purdue University.

To say that I love this couple would be an understatement. Beyond that, they are some of the most FUN people I know! How many people do you know who send out an instructional dance video for their wedding party and friends to practice for a wedding reception flash mob? Exactly.

One of my sweet college friends, Emily, is expecting her first baby! Several other dear friends hosted a baby shower for her in Fayetteville a few weekends ago. They chose a vintage toy theme and every detail was perfectly adorable. Below are pictures of the invitation as well as some other coordinating paper goods that complimented the theme. I can't wait to meet this little guy!!

Congratulations to newlyweds Zach and Katie Pearson! They were married this past weekend in Manila, Arkansas and I had the joy of designing their wedding invitation and programs.

Katie and Zach's wedding decor was a combination of tan, clover green and tangerine orange. As a couple, they love the outdoors and described themselves as very casual and laid back. While they wanted their wedding to have some traditional elements, they really wanted to keep things simple.

I am so pleased with how the invitations turned out. As an added personal touch, the couple sent me a bride and groom drawing to be used on the programs. Adorable!

Save the Date - SOS: Celebrating 25 Years of Service

Service Over Self (SOS) is an incredible ministry that has been at work restoring homes and lives in Memphis for 25 years. To celebrate all that God has done during that time, SOS is hosting events during the weekend of April 29-30. Click here for more information about the events and registration.

SOS has played a huge part in our lives over the past 10 years so I was excited for the opportunity to design a Save the Date postcard announcing the events. The design incorporates photographs of homeowners, staff, summer staff and volunteers from the past 25 years of service. Click on the image to view a larger version and take a closer look. Couple's Shower - Josh and Jessica

We met Josh and Jessica several years ago when they both worked as college summer staff at SOS. Their dating relationship did not begin until after they had moved away from Memphis but they came back several times to visit. On one visit to Memphis, Josh surprised Jessica with a proposal at the SOS building! They were married this past weekend in San Antonio : )

Last month, they returned to Memphis for a wedding shower and I had a great time creating a unique invitation for the occasion. Since the shower guest list was filled with people who had been a part of their SOS experience, it seemed fitting to include some things that are unique to the culture of SOS. I incorporated images of their home states [summer staff come from all over the country], the SOS logo [iconic], and "no Purple". Since summer staff are not permitted to begin dating relationships while working, there is "no purple" allowed [boys+girls/boys+girls=purple]. Make sense?! Thanks to the hosts, David and Brenda for letting me run with this idea!

Parker's 4th Birthday Invitations

I went to junior high and high school with Parker's mom, Lacy, and reconnected with her a couple of years ago. I have enjoyed designing Christmas cards for their family the past two years and was very excited when Lacy asked me to create invitations for Parker's fourth birthday party.

Parker's birthday was celebrated at a local fire station and I had lots of fun working with Lacy to create an invitation to go along with this fun party theme. Thanks to Lacy for sharing some party photos with me!

A few months ago, I refined the look of my logo. I finally had a chance to spend some time working on a business card that features the new logo and I am so excited about how it turned out. Here it is:

Cards are $4 per set and will be customized with the name of your choice. These will print eight to a page (each card is approximately 2.5" x 3.75"). Cards can be purchased in my BRAND NEW ETSY SHOP! Gift Enclosure Cards

Earlier this month, I received an email from Griffin and Maddox's mom, Kim, asking me to design some gift enclosure cards for her boys. I think this such a smart idea because it simplifies gift giving. If you are anything like me, you have probably forgotten to buy a card for a gift before! With enclosure cards, you have them on hand and just wrap them with your gift. And, they're CUTE (or cool, or awesome, or girly, or manly, or whatever else your style might be)!

Kim wanted designs that included her boys' favorite sports; baseball for Griffin and football for Maddox. I mailed them to her earlier this week and was delighted to receive an email from her this morning saying:

"Just got the cards. Love, love, love them!!!! Couldn't be happier!!!!"

Thanks again, Kim! I am so excited for your boys to get to take these to all the fun birthday celebrations they are sure to attend.

Inspired Design: Martha Stewart Living

I found myself bookmarking lots of pages in the February, 2011 edition of Martha Stewart Living. There are always so many beautiful and inspiring images!

The Martha's Month section featured a place setting with a beautifully monogrammed napkin.

I loved how the monogram extends all the way to the edges and even off the edge in one place. I couldn't stop thinking about using this idea in a note card design. Here is what I came up with:
